Welcome to Hornby Occasionals

We are a long established amateur operatic society which performs a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta each year in the Spring at Hornby Institute, Hornby, Lancaster where we also meet and rehearse. We rehearse on Friday nights from mid-September and the occasional Saturday morning nearer to the show dates. We always welcome new members who are interested in acting, set building, prompting, props and front of house. Find out more about membership. Our last production "Pirates of Penzance" was a sell-out. This was the first time we had performed with an orchestra which proved very successful and popular with our audiences.

Carol Singing 2011

A number of our members (and friends) donned victorian costumes and sang carols during December in various places.

On Saturday and Sunday 3rd and 4th of December they sang in the Judges Lodgings Museum in Lancaster, on Saturday 10th of December they sang at Gawthorpe Hall Museum in Burnley.
