The Occasionals are always pleased to see new members, whether experienced or inexperienced and whether they want to be performers or backstage crew or help with other jobs including front of house in show week, making tea during rehearsals or helping with the costumes.

If you are a performer, the ability to read music is not essential. You would be expected to attend rehearsals regularly. These are usually held at the Institute in Hornby from 7.30-9.30pm on Friday evenings. Nearer the show we hold some Saturday morning rehearsals. You will of course be expected to take part in every performance during show week.

Backstage crew such as stage management, props, wardrobe and make-up are usually only required nearer the show.

Subscriptions for performers are £26 per year for adults and £13 per year for school aged children. For non-performers it is £13. These are due at the start of rehearsals in September. There is an option to pay by weekly instalments. No one will be excluded through inability to pay.
