Welcome

Thank you for your interest in auditioning for our upcoming production. We are incredibly excited to embark on this journey, which features a fresh, updated script and a dynamic creative vision. Whether you are a long-standing member of the society or joining us for the first time, we welcome you and look forward to seeing what you bring to the room.

Important Show Dates

  • Synopsis Evening: Friday 4th September at 7:00pm.

  • Rehearsals: Every Friday beginning 18th September 7:30 - 9.30 pm

  • Show Dates: Week beg 15th March 2027 (Exact dates to be finalised).

Audition Process

To give everyone the best possible chance to succeed, closed auditions will be held a couple of weeks after rehearsals have officially begun. We structure things this way so you have a chance to settle in, familiarise yourself with the show's material, get to know the society, and feel comfortable before stepping into the audition room.

You will be notified on 7th or 8th October.

Audition Dates

Friday 2 October, 6.30 - 8pm,

Tuesday 6 October, 6.30 - 9.30pm

Time slot

Each auditionee will be allocated a 15-minute slot. Because 15 minutes goes by very quickly, please don't be discouraged if the audition panel stops you before you have finished everything you've prepared. This simply means we have seen exactly what we need to see to make our decision!

What We Are Looking For

We want to see your acting just as much as your singing! Please prepare the specific libretto section and song excerpt designated for your chosen character in this pack. (Please note that for the music, only the first line is provided, so you will need to familiarise yourself with the piece).

Who will be there?

The Director (Denise Dent) the Musical Director (Richard Bromley) and an independent member of the committee.
